The Special Programs Division at the Faculty of Humanities brings together a range of distinctive academic tracks and instructional units:
Amirim Interdisciplinary Honors Program An elite program designed for approximately two dozen students per cohort, Amirim offers specially curated courses taught by dedicated faculty. Students benefit from full tuition exemption and access to exclusive opportunities, including an international study trip in their third year.
Multidisciplinary Program This flexible, multidisciplinary track allows students to explore a broader and more diverse range of subjects than the standard double-major format. Participants can choose courses based on their interests and earn credit toward their degree from across all departments within the Faculty of Humanities.
Academic Reading and Writing Skills Program Mandatory for first-year students who scored below 140 on the verbal section of the psychometric exam, this program equips students with foundational skills for reading academic texts and writing university-level papers.
Digital Humanities Specialization This specialization in digital humanities centers on the exploration of the intellectual, cultural, and social treasures of humanity, using technology, computing, and both computational and quantitative research methods. Its goal is to expand traditional humanities research and redefine both the subject of humanistic inquiry and the methods used to understand it through digitization and computational tools.
English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Unit Designed for students whose English proficiency falls below the exemption threshold, this unit helps students build the English language skills necessary for academic success.
Language Center The first of its kind among Israeli universities, this center offers courses in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, and Arabic. Based on a new language learning model used at leading universities worldwide, these courses prepare students for exchange programs as well as excellence in academia, the workforce, and the nonprofit sector.
Internship Course The Faculty of Humanities internship program (Course 8301) bridges academic study with the demands of today’s job market. Students gain real-world, hands-on experience and professional references while earning their degree, strengthening their CV, and enhancing their future employment prospects.
